Motorola Solutions, Inc. (NYSE:MSI) recently announced that it had signed a contract with the Parana Public Safety Secretariat to improve the public-safety communications infrastructure in Parana, Brazil. With this contract, the law enforcement agencies in the Latin American country will be able to replace their aging communications infrastructure and better coordinate mission-critical applications.

Motorola Solutions, Inc. (NYSE:MSI) has agreed to implement the P25 standard for digitally encrypted radio communications, providing public safety agencies with a reliable and secure private communications solution. Interoperable digital two-way radio products are part of the P25 portfolio of standards for digital Land Mobile Radio services for local, state, and national (federal) public safety organizations and agencies.

The radios provide a one-to-many communication platform for multiple law enforcement, fire, and EMS organizations to properly handle a problem, and they are intended for adverse weather situations with improved ergonomics and durable requirements. This inter-agency communication system will not only allow for a better coordinated and speedy response but also allow safety officers to be more mobile by eliminating the need to carry several radios for communicating with different departments.

Motorola’s LXN 6000 Long Term Evolution (LTE) infrastructure will be used to increase the reach of their secure communications platform, which is essential for carrying out important missions. Solutions for mobile, semi-permanent, and permanent installations are provided to aid in developing fast, scalable private broadband networks that supplement current networks and provide additional degrees of system resilience. Using an end-to-end ecosystem that includes LTE networks, custom-made, user-friendly devices, and extensive support, it provides users with instantaneous access to voice, video, data, and chat services.

More than seventeen thousand Brazilian law enforcement officers will have access to state-of-the-art digital radio communications, including in-field, deployable broadband capabilities. These officers will patrol an area of Brazil’s borders measuring two thousand five hundred kilometers in width.

Motorola Solutions, Inc. (NYSE:MSI) has established a reliable revenue stream by being a leading provider of mission-critical communication devices and services. This communications equipment manufacturer plans to form agreements with other ecosystem members to fortify its standing in the public safety sector. It stands to gain.
