AMD Stock (NASDAQ:AMD)
The new Ryzen PRO 7040 Series Mobile CPUs are announced by Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD). Despite it, AMD stock declined in the market.
In addition, the firm said that the CPUs deliver enhanced ‘Zen 4’ performance and a specialized Ryzen AI engine to certain Windows 11 business notebooks.
The ‘Zen 4’ and AMD RDNA 2 integrated graphics are now available to customers of professional desktop computers thanks to AMD’s announcement of the Ryzen PRO 7000 Series CPUs for desktop computers.
AMD’s senior director of commercial client and workstation, Matthew Unangst, said that the new Ryzen PRO 7040 Series combines “incredible performance and battery life” with a new dedicated AI engine on select models to help meet the needs of the AI transformation in the workplace.
According to a report from Reuters, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is planning to provide new information on an artificial intelligence “super chip” that experts believe would be a competitor to Nvidia’s (NASDAQ:NVDA) processors.
AMD stock CEO Lisa Su is scheduled to deliver a keynote talk at a conference in San Francisco centered on data center and artificial intelligence businesses. The most cutting-edge graphics processing unit (GPU) produced by the corporation is referred to as the MI300, and analysts await new information about this chip. According to the study, it is a specific kind of chip that businesses like OpenAI employ to develop products like ChatGPT.
While the results call for AMD’s first quarter in May, Su said that the specs for the MI300 would be forthcoming in the next quarters. Su observed that “MI300 is the first solution that has both the CPU and GPU together” and that this has been extremely favorable for the growth of the supercomputing sector.
