The recent trend of going up seems to have ended in the premarket on Wednesday, and the futures show a small drop at the opening. Quarterly earnings season continues to be the main focus. In light of that, the following stocks are noteworthy for Wednesday:

Stocks to watch

  1. Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX): The publication of quarterly data sparked investment in Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX). Following the company’s earnings and sales beating forecasts, shares of the video streaming service rose 12% in premarket trading. In terms of subscriber growth, NFLX also did better than expected, adding 2.41M net new customers in Q3 instead of the 1M that was expected.
  2. Procter & Gamble (NYSE:PG): On both the top and bottom lines, Procter & Gamble (PG) posted quarterly results that exceeded expectations. Revenue increased by about 1% to $20.6 billion, exceeding estimates by $240 million. The company was able to mitigate the effects of adverse foreign exchange by raising prices.
  3. United Airlines (NASDAQ:UAL): In premarket trade after the release of its financial results, United Airlines (NASDAQ:UAL) rose. With sales that were up 13% over the pre-pandemic period of 2019, the company significantly outperformed analysts’ expectations.
  4. Travelers (NYSE:TRV): Travelers outperformed analysts’ forecasts with its Q3 earnings. A recorded reading for net earned premiums, which came in at $8.6 billion, a 10% increase from the prior period, benefited the bottom line.
  5. Winnebago Industries (NYSE:WGO): Winnebago outperformed expectations, with revenue increasing by over 14% from the previous quarter. However, organic growth was only 4%, and the company’s gross margin shrank. Before the opening bell, shares decreased by nearly 1%.
