Applications are now available for the upcoming Founder Catalyst Program in Oakland, California, hosted by major global financial services company J.P. Morgan (NYSE:JPM) and global investment firm Techstars, which offers early-stage entrepreneurs access to financing, one-on-one mentoring, and programming. This cohort, modeled after the effective initiatives in Atlanta, Washington, D.C., and Miami, will assist 20 female and non-binary founders with a specific focus on the LGBT+ community in the Bay Area.
Founder Catalyst Program by Techstars
The fourth iteration of the Founder Catalyst Program, which supports early-stage female and non-binary founders, is launched by Techstars and J.P. Morgan (NYSE:JPM) in Oakland.
Startups participating in this program will gain access to the global Techstars network of entrepreneurs, mentors, investors, and corporate partners, as well as important startup education, mentoring, and community building. Participants will sharpen their entrepreneurial abilities, gain a deeper understanding of their target market, and explore their original business ideas. In-depth entrepreneurship workshops and tools will be provided to participants in a primarily virtual, part-time manner during the program’s run from October through December 2022.
Mia Cooley, former Founder Catalyst participant and founder of xHood, stated that the connections she made with other women founders and LGBTQ founders were invaluable, it was indeed an honor to be among the best that is to come. She further stated that the intention shown by our mentors and Techstars team is inimitable.
In collaboration with J.P. Morgan (NYSE:JPM), the previous three Founder Catalyst Programs have resulted in close to 1,000 mentor relationships, four product launches, more than $850,000 raised, and numerous ongoing investor dialogues. Following the program’s conclusion, seven participants were additionally admitted into Techstars accelerators.
Participants in the Founder Catalyst Programs receive training in tried-and-true approaches and have access to top-notch resources, enhancing their chances of success. The knowledge of Techstars comes from their experience running close to 50 accelerators globally and managing a portfolio of more than 2,900 startups.
All Oakland and San Francisco Bay Area-based, early-stage businesses started by women and non-binary people are urged to apply until August 31 or get in touch with [email protected]. Priority is given to early applications.
