Supermicro also has the capability to retrofit existing air-cooled data centers with liquid cooling systems, further solidifying its leadership in the industry. “We have not officially announced and promoted that yet, but we have that capability and are ready with some successful stories in that area,” Liang noted. This ability to convert existing facilities offers a cost-effective solution for companies looking to reduce their environmental impact.

Over the past 15 years, he and his family have planted approximately 1,000 oak trees in Silicon Valley. Liang also supports the Green Earth Foundation, which aims to plant drought-resistant trees in the Sahara Desert as part of the United Nations’ Great Green Wall Initiative. The project targets planting 10 million trees this year and 50 million next year.

“It’s my way to give back to our one and only Mother Earth,” Liang shared at the Computex trade show on June 4. His passion for environmental stewardship is reflected in Supermicro’s corporate philosophy, driving the company’s efforts to create a more sustainable future for the tech industry.
