On Tuesday, Boeing (NYSE:BA) said it had delivered 48 commercial aircraft in November, bringing the total number of deliveries for the year to 411. Six of the company’s 787 Dreamliners were among the deliveries made over the previous month. Due to this, Boeing stock surged in the market.

During the month, the aircraft manufacturer delivered 32 of its 737 MAX single-aisle jets, bringing the total number of planes delivered in 2018 to 333. For Boeing to reach its current goal of 375 737 MAX airplane deliveries, the company has to make 42 further deliveries. This year, the business has made two different adjustments to that goal.

Last month, orders for 21 aircraft were placed with Boeing, increasing the total number of net orders received by the company until November’s end to 571.

United Airlines has placed an order for one hundred of the business’s 787 Dreamliners and has the option to purchase an additional one hundred of the twin-aisle aircraft. The order was received by the company today. According to the airline, deliveries of the Dreamliners are anticipated to take place between the years 2024 and 2032.

In addition, United decided to go through with its options to purchase 44 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft with delivery dates ranging from 2024 to 2026 and placed an order for 56 additional aircraft with delivery dates spanning 2027 and 2028.

“The deal is valued between $37 billion and $47.5 billion at list prices, but after standard discounts, is worth $16.2 billion to $22 billion,” Seeking Alpha contributor Dhierin Bechai said in an email. “Options for 100 more Dreamliners could add another $11 billion to $16 billion to the value.”

The most current publicly available data from Boeing reveals that Dreamliners are available in various sizes and have an average list price of $300 million. The agreement between United and the aircraft manufacturer allows the carrier to choose one of three different variants of the aircraft.

The historic purchase from United Airlines comes only a few months after Boeing stock restarted delivery of the Dreamliner, which had primarily been delayed for over two years due to concerns with production and regulatory compliance.
