APPLE ACKNOWLEDGES A SIGNIFICANT SECURITY CONCERN FOR IPHONES, IPADS, AND IMACS.

Apple Inc

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has warned that its iPhones, iPads, and iMacs have a major security flaw that could let attackers take full control of the devices. In new security reports, the tech company said it knew about the problem and was “aware of a report that this problem may have been actively used.”

According to the Associated Press, security experts say that users should update all of their Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) devices that are affected. Some of these are the iPhone 6S and later models, the iPad 5th generation and later, all iPad Pro models, and the iPad Air 2, as well as Mac computers running macOS Monterey. Some iPods are also affected by the problem.

Based on how the company explained the problem, a hacker could get “full admin access to the device” and “execute any code as if they were you, the user,” Rachel Tobac, CEO of SocialProof Security, told AP.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) didn’t say anything else about the attacks or who might have been behind them, but it did say that its latest update has “important security updates and is recommended for all users.”

The iOS 15.6.1 update from the company comes just a few weeks after iOS 15.6.

According to bleepingcomputer.com, the bugs were found by researchers who didn’t give their names. Independent security researcher Sean Wright told Forbes, “Apple iOS 15.6.1 is an important update.” He also said that the flaws that Apple pointed out “could be linked together to allow attackers to gain full access to victims’ devices from a distance.”
