AMC Stock (NYSE:AMC)
After the biggest cinema exhibitor in the world launched a new ticket price plan named “Sightline at AMC,” AMC stock is now trading up 5.76% in the middle of the trading day on Monday. Sightline at AMC allows moviegoers to pick their seats inside the auditorium depending on the quality of the view they will have of the film being shown. These seating options include seats in the Value Sightline, Standard Sightline, and Preferred Sightline sections.
“Sightline at AMC more closely aligns AMC Entertainment’s (NYSE:AMC) seat pricing approach to that of many other entertainment venues,” said Eliot Hamlisch, Executive Vice President, and Chief Marketing Officer for AMC Theatres. “Sightline at AMC offers experienced-based pricing and another way for moviegoers to find value at the movies,” he added. “While every seat at AMC provides an outstanding moviegoing experience, we are aware that certain customers place a higher priority on their particular seat, while others place a higher priority on getting the most value out of their moviegoing experience. Both of these perspectives are taken into consideration by Sightline at AMC, which helps to guarantee that our customers have a greater degree of control over their experience and that their visits to AMC theaters are always enjoyable. As a result, AMC stock surged.
Value Sightline seats are predominantly in the first row of the auditorium. They are available at a lower price than Standard Sightline seats. Preferred Sightline seats are often located in the auditorium’s center and cost somewhat more than Standard Sightline seats. Standard Sightline seats are the most popular in auditoriums and are available for the standard cost of a ticket.
AMC’s most devoted customers, known as A-List members, will get a special perk: the Preferred Sightline fee will no longer be charged for any bookings they make.
The promotion applies to all showtimes at participating sites that begin after 4 p.m. However, it is not available on Discount Tuesday at AMC. Sightline at AMC has begun rolling out in certain cities. By the end of 2023, it is anticipated that the offering will be available at all AMC and AMC DINE-IN locations.
