Apple Accused of Retaliation, Mishandling Women's Claims

According to the Financial Times, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) has been charged with having its human resources department take retaliatory action and improperly handle allegations of misconduct against many women working for the tech corporation.

The news source said the corporation handled problems poorly and, in other cases, was dismissive, naming 15 different women. A human resources manager equated one claim of sexual assault that occurred after hours to a “minor traffic accident.”

The 15 female employees of the company (AAPL), current and previous, come from various backgrounds and work in six different US states and seven distinct departments.

Based in Cupertino, California, Apple (AAPL) informed the Financial Times that more work needs to be done to solve some of the issues raised but declined to comment to Seeking Alpha.

Apple (AAPL) responded, “There are some accounts raised that do not reflect our intentions or our policies and we should have handled them differently, including certain exchanges reported in this story. “As a result, we will make changes to our training and processes.”

According to Morgan Stanley, only 1% of net sales growth in July for Apple’s (AAPL) App Store was a year over year.
