Have you been paying attention to the global lithium race?

If not, you’ll definitely want to start because our green future depends on it. It’s also creating a very lucrative opportunity for those involved in the space.

Right now, most of the lithium supply is coming from Australia and Chile, but things are changing quickly as North America strives for energy independence.

The Biden Administration is investing $2.8 billion to supercharge domestic manufacturing of battery materials and Nevada is emerging as the clear winner.

Nevada, already one of the world’s top mining jurisdictions, is quickly establishing itself as a key player in the production of EV battery materials and meeting global climate goals.

With construction underway at the infamous Thacker Pass Lithium Project (aka the largest known lithium deposit in the US), experts are starting to call Nevada the “Silicon Valley of lithium.”

Thacker Pass is targeting an annual production of 80,000 tonnes of battery-quality lithium carbonate capacity, which will help reduce US reliance on international lithium suppliers.

But more importantly, the project’s approval sends a clear signal that Nevada’s lithium sector is now open for business.

But there’s more to Nevada’s lithium story than just Thacker Pass and the already established Silver Peak mine from Albemarle. The next major lithium contribution from Nevada is not receiving the attention it deserves.
